Each of our lives is an unfolding story. Her father and I are so blessed that we got to be at the beginning of her story.
Each of us here have a chapter in the book of Macey Payne.
- Lydia - the chapter where you joined Macey and I to go on a girl's trip to Florida, via an ice storm. I wish there were video footage of us crossing the Ohio River that night. That is one of my favorite stories, best trips, and part of what made it so good was how hard it was to work to get to the beach that week.
- Emily - the chapter where you two decided to run your own business, "Slim Time Corp" making slim in our kitchens and selling your wares in the hallways of Woodrow middle school until the principal shut you down. You two deserve an A plus for women entrepreneurship.
- Sophia - The chapter where we ate some Damn good food!
- And Camron - the chapter we all witnessed today when you invited Macey to share your last name. Which sadly leads me to the final page of Macey Payne, our MVP, our Macey Moo Myrt!
With blank pages before you as you start a new chapter as husband and wife, never forget what a privilege and honor it is to hold one's story, to be an integral part of it. How the two of you choose to show up for one another each day will add to the happy ending or take away from it.
As Macey mentioned in her vows that time has flown by so fast, our story comes with book ends. Make the most of the time that you have with each other.
There were a lot of friends that helped bring McDonald's coke to you for your toast tonight. Chumba whatever season or chapter you are in, the story always needs a McDonald's coke.
Raise your cokes or drink of choice to the Canadas.
