Usually...

Usually there is a nightly fight over this scooter. I recently found it in the shed and gave it to Macey to play with...but it was Gavin's and he claims it is still his,



but Gavin has gone to his dad's for two weeks. As I know he will spend lots of extra time with his dad over the summer break. But when he is gone... life is quiet and even Macey doesn't REALLY want to ride on the scooter.

How can we say no....

I am serious...with these eyes? How can you say no? She leaves us mesmerized!

Swim Time at Doreena's and Merv's

Today was all about the kids. Square donuts, garage sales (which I hate!), strawberry picking, and a dip in the pool at Doreena and Merv's. Merv even had Macey almost ready to jump off the diving board. I am convinced that girl will know how to swim by the end of the summer if Merv has anything to say about it. Belle is Doreena's new dog, she doesn't stop much for pictures. She is pretty busy.

mom, Mom, MOTHER...

I know all you mom's know your name when you hear it. Even if every kid in the world calls their mom, mom...you know when it is being directed to you. Some days you swear you will go to bed and hear the echos of this name haunting you as you sleep. Sometime you even get up at night because you swear you just heard your name again in the darkness..."MOM".

Some days..you hear it from start to finish. "Mom, he's touching me." Or it is "Mom, you won't yell at me if I tell you something?" Of course not dear, I would never yell. "Mom, I need a drink." "Mom, when is it going to be lunch time?" No matter that the breakfast plates are still on the kitchen table, and the dog is waiting for everyone to leave the room for his shoot. "Mom, the VCR is not working." No kidding since you put your hot wheel car inside of it. "Mom...I had an accident."

I especially love it when they both have a story to tell me. That is what this photo is about! Both of them telling me something and expecting an answer (as if the other one was not even there)at the same time.

My other favorite is when we go out to eat and they both fight over who is going to sit by me. I know I should feel honored...but one day I am going to get a table for one, and eat all by myself, in my own space. And I know when that happens I will be terribly sad that they have grown up enough to not need me anymore.

The Best Husband!

I am just sitting at my desk working...waiting for this day to be over when I get an email from my husband confirming two tickets to my favorite band! I didn't even know they were going to be here! So excited!

Agatha's Many Visitors

While Agatha may spend the majority of her time in our driveway she serves her purpose.

Agatha keeps Mister Paul P busy, as he really enjoys her company.

Even Jack likes to hop inside and pretend he is a real dog that can handle car rides without throwing up on everything. Agatha is more his speed.

Agatha helps Macey practice her posing for future modeling jobs.

Sick

He claimed he was fine all day. Fought with me over the telephone because he wanted to stay at the farm with Mamoo and Papsy. However he has a temp. He comes home and suddenly he is sick. His throat, head and stomach are all a mess. Which I have to believe because I was sick, then Macey was sick, and we didn't want to leave him out! Still....he just didn't want to miss out so he felt fine until I made him come home. What a mean mother I am!



On a side note this has been a really odd week. Paul is off until Friday. So I am the one getting up and leaving for work while the rest of them are still in bed sleeping or getting out of bed with the smell of sleep still on them. I am so jealous that I can't just hang around and watch some television in my pj's.
