Flash Back Friday - Date # 8

Date number 8 we got to spend the entire weekend alone together. This was back in the day when we use to have this little thing called..."no kid weekends." Instead of recounting the entire wonderful weekend here is an email that my Mister Paul P sent me after our date # 7. This is what he wrote....

MY Kary,

Yes, I DO know exactly how you are feeling right now...even as "a guy" you may have a hard time believing that I am going through the entire gamut of emotions you are right now...I thank God we are doing this together! It would really stink to feel this good about someone, and for them not to realize it, or feel something similar. THAT is what is making you and I so good for each other, and together. We have the same desires, and the same needs, and we are pretty close on how we need to obtain them for ourselves.

I know we are still in the infancy of this relationship, but I KNOW in my heart that this is only the tip of the iceberg...and those butterflies will continue, and be more intense. I honestly don't think I could ever tire being with you, near you, close to you. Yesterday was so natural for me....I KNOW what kind of mom you are, and I respect that tremendously. I was at home last night...even while we were on the porch having adult time with Gavin sleeping...those are the things that make MEMORIES.....I was so into you, that I didn't have time to be bored.

I really like you too. I really believer we are on the verge of something bigger than you or I have ever experienced....time is on our side...slow, sure, and completely confident in what we are doing...that is my goal...and IF we do continue ...life will be elevated to a dimension that neither you nor I have ever experienced...I thought I would be scared of that...instead, I am really excited by that.

Again, Ms P, I really like you, and love having you in my life....

YOUR Paul

Studebaker's Next Pin-up Girl

No new photos today...we were busy running to the store for last minute packed lunches and Miss Macey is going to have more dental work tomorrow...so we needed something for her to eat when she awakes from her drug induced slumber. Macey will be fine...so pray for daddy as he is REALLY dreading the entire ordeal. I can't blame him :(

Date #7

A group date...me, Paul and Gavin. It went better than what I thought possible. After dinner we went to the park to feed the ducks. Gavin was on one side of me, Paul was on the other. We were standing on the park bench (because you have to if you don't want to get mauled) throwing bread at about 80 ducks. It felt so right. It felt like it had always been. My two favorite men, on either side of me. It was a content moment, a loud moment...with all the quacking and giggles, but still content.
Paul was so quiet, he didn't hoard my time, or have to be center of attention. He told me he was just trying to blend in. I think he did an excellent job at that too!

We all played on the play ground, go doing the slides, chasing after Gavin. Paul did a yard sale down the slid. Change, keys and all the other contents of his pockets came down the slid first...then him. I had never seen a 37 year old come down a twisty slide head first before. Paul pulled it off good.

Gavin wanted to know if Paul liked Superman, and who his favorite superhero was. He wanted to know if Paul was going to stay and play, and he even showed off his newly learned boogie dance.

Gavin never acted out to get my attention the entire time Paul was around. At the end of the night Gavin told Paul that he could go home now...so Paul left, I put Gavin to bed, and Paul meet me on the porch for adult time.

I am so in like with this man. We kissed forever, one for each day of the week. We talked about our first kisses, and our worst kisses. Paul's description of the worst was something about a hamster in a wheel. Uck...that was different, and I am glad it wasn't me!

It was difficult to say good-night. I didn't want him to go.

(Photo is of this fall when we took Macey to our special place to feed the ducks for her first time.)

Pouting..

Again, let me show all your girls how it is done!

I love this photo, and the wrinkle in her brow. She totally has this look down. I don't even know what she was pouting about when I took it. Which makes me happy that this pretty pout really has Nothing to pout about in life at all! Our life is so good here at the Payne house. Paul and I tell each other weekly that "life is good," and we both REALLY mean it! Bills may be tight, life may be hard, the daily grind can sometimes get to us, but no one means it more than us...Life really is good, and we are sucking all of it up for as long as it lasts!
